Sauna Heaters

Sauna Heaters
wood-heaterThe most common methods of heating a sauna are electric and wood-burning heaters. Electric one is easy to install and is usually less expensive than wood burning heater. Electric heaters are also inexpensive to operate, simple to use, require no chimney and create no pollution.

The majority of electric heaters operate on 240-volt, which is available in most modern homes. Consult a licensed electrician.

The sauna is heated by a wood burning heater slower and it requires more effort to keep heated. Such heaters are perfect in places with plentiful wood or no other form of energy.

Sauna Rocks

sauna-rocksA large amount of an appropriate rock or stone is as important to the sauna as the heater itself. The rocks determine how nice the heat is and give off a continuous soft, gentle and even heat. If you have no rocks at all, your sauna heater would produce a harsh and burning type of heat that is similar to broiling and very uncomfortable.

Stones will take in and store heat when the heat is being made. The rocks will give heat off when the heater is not on, maintaining a more constant temperature.
